Look what one of Brave Bird’s friends sent today! She writes poetry using the first letter of each word. That kind of poetry is called an Acrostic. Reading down the left side of the paper, you will see BRAVE. On the right side of the paper, you will see BIRD.

Beautiful, kind, funny, and sweet

Reaching out with every tweet.

Adventuring far from her mother’s nest.

Vast expanse can’t stop her no more as she flies over the rest.

Everyone’s waiting as she sits on the edge.

Before she dives right over the ledge.

“I think about my friends,” she says.

Rising, soaring, tumbling down, it is never a bore.
